Dear Fellow Mud Runners,

We are sad to bring you this news regarding the 2012 Myrtle Beach Mud Run. An unforeseen change in circumstances left us with no alternative but to cancel this event. While the participant numbers are up over last year and we are certain that we would have surpassed our fundraising goal, there are certain elements that are no longer available for our use. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

For those that have pre-registered for the event, you will receive a full refund for the entry fee and for the credit card transaction fee (if applicable). We expect that either the fees will be recredited to your credit card or a check will be mailed out no later than May 19th, 2012. If you have mailed in your entry fee and we have not cashed the check, we will return your mail-in entry fee so that you can void your check.

For those competing for the title of Series Champion, we will be presenting awards based on the current standings. Congratulations to David Hernandez and Kathleen King for being crowned as the 2012 Myrtle Beach Race Series Champions. Award packets will be mailed to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

For those still interested in racing on the weekend of May 12th, 2012, The Grand Strand Running Club organizes the Blue Crab Festival 5k in Little River, South Carolina. You can register for the event at http://www.grandstrandrunner.com/race.aspx?id=45.

Most importantly, we would like to thank the Grand Strand Humane Society for taking care of all of the unwanted and abandoned animals in our community. We remain committed to supporting Sandy Brown and her staff and will donate all remaining proceeds of the Myrtle Beach Race Series to support their mission.
